Wesley Keen’s Z Story: I have always been drawn to cars and how they work. My brother and my high school shop teacher, who taught both my brother and me, had a big influence on my love for cars. After learning the basics from them both by working on my daily and helping with other projects around the house, I got a job at Ford and started saving for what I wanted most.

That being a project car, something I can work on slowly so that one day I can admire, enjoy and appreciate all the hard work to have something show people – “look that’s me, I did that”!

So after finding a new job, having graduation come up and having a few bucks put back in the bank, I knew my parents would help make this dream come true.

I went searching for “JDM” cars of my liking and this ’88 300zx car popped up and it was in my budget, I knew as soon as I saw it online that I had to have it.

I went down to Daytona to look at it and realized it needed a lot of work but less than what I expected, so without knowing how to drive manual I took it for a test drive.

Went home and came back a few days later with a trailer.

After I got it home I immediately started tinkering and making a list of all the things I needed to at least get it on the road. Here we are today, close to getting it insured and on the road!

So that’s my Z Story, I have so many plans for this Z31 and a long journey ahead.
