Lucky Day

Cynthia Ravenholt’s Z story: My previous 1976 280Z Datsun automatic was sold for the movie with Robert Duval and Drew Barrymore titled “Lucky Day” (2007).  

This is a picture of what the movie team saw, as they kept driving by, and stopping by, saying we want this car for the movie “Lucky Day”.  Drew Barrymore was, as the story line was told, a girl from Barstow, California and she was to drive this car into Las Vegas, Nevada pulling into the Bellagio Hotel.  They really pestered us for the car!

They kept coming back every week, it was parked outside of the business as my daily drive, they wanting to buy this Datsun.  It is not for sale guys!  We pushed for a lease contract and for the next couple of weeks, we kept raising the price every week.  Well, you guys need to put the money on the mahogany!  They promised not to reck it and the movie was filmed here in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We tried to lease it to the studio, and it was said that the director wanted it for his stable.  And that is the story, and I am sticking to it!

Now a 1976 280Z Datsun, stick shift is my daily drive.  Thank you for this and the shared enthusiasm!
